Nobody is around…?

Question: If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Answer: Debatable. A very complicated, philosophical question one can ponder for hours and hours.

Question: If you drive and run a red light and no one is around to witness it, did you really run the red light?

Answer: Yes you did. Why? Cuz the camera caught you.

Red light cameras should be be deemed illegal just for infringing on people privacy. People can’t even get any private alone time in the car now with cameras all over the place.

Whatever happened to the old fashion police pulling people over? Did all the cops decide to be lazy and install cameras?!

(And don’t tell me they are out protecting me. Where are they when people’s homes are being broken into?!
“Are the thieves still there?”
“I don’t know. Wth? I’m not going to go over there and check!”
“Ok. Then we will send someone over in 4 hours.”
“… FOUR HOURS?!”
“Yes. We will send someone out soon.”

Dispatcher lady, ma’am. Four hours is not soon. “Soon” is 5 minutes. “Soon” is they are on their way now. “Soon” is definitely not four hours from now when they are long gone along with half the stuff in the house.)

If cameras were the answer to all of life’s problems, we wouldn’t have so many problems, now would we? Everyone would just be taped all day long and the police can sit on their butts and watch hundreds of TV screens looking for people who commit crimes. It would just be a Simpsons episode.

Obviously, that worked so well in the cartoon.

We can learn a thing or two from TV sometimes.

Stupid traffic ticket.
